Mission/Purpose

                                               Purpose (as stated in Bylaws)

     The purpose of the Association shall be to promote the spirit of alumni unity through camaraderie, communications, and reunions.

     To serve in an exclusively charitable and educational capacity as provided under section 501(C) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1954 as amended. The Association seeks to preserve, promote, the cultural educational, and social heritage of the institutions formerly known as the Princess Anne County Training School and Union Kempsville High School (PACTS-UKHS AFA).

     The broader purpose of this organization shall be to serve as a coordinating body to preserve and continue the tradition of a high level of achievement in education, human relations, and community development.

                                            
                                              Objectives (as stated in Bylaws)

The objectives of this organization shall be to:
     a.  Award scholarships to graduating seniors and graduates who are descendants of  
          PACTS-   UKHS.

​     b.  Recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to society.

     c.  Preserve the spirit of comradeship among members of the Association.

     d. Perpetuate the rich history of PACTS-UKHS.

     e.  Establish a working relationship on projects of mutual interest with the Virginia
          Beach Public Schools (VBCPS) and other governmental, civic, and social organizations that
          seek to promote the Association's purposes.

     f.  Actively encourage and promote educational and career opportunities for students that
          support the African Americans legacy in VBCPS.
